Our Dual Diagnosis program is focused on individuals that are chemically dependent, and have a co-occurring psychiatric illness. Both conditions affect a person's ability to maintain everyday living. This is especially difficult when entering a drug treatment program. To recover and maintain long term sobriety a person needs treatment for both conditions.

Our Dual Diagnosis Program begins with a complete and thorough psychological assessment, and psychiatric evaluation. Based on the results, we either confirm a pre-existing diagnosis, or our psychiatrist may uncover a diagnosis that had eluded previous treatment providers, and medication is prescribed to better balance out the disorder.

Throughout a client's stay at A New Day our staff works hard to ensure each client's well being. Our therapists specialize in working with dually diagnosed clients, and educate each person on how to manage their diagnosis, with an emphasis on daily medication management.
