Drawing on my personal experiences with addiction and recovery, and nearly
twenty years working in the addiction treatment field, I wanted to work in a
place that was different than all the other treatment centers out there. So, I
began A New Day with certain goals in mind.
I asked people I had worked with in the past, who had the same ideals,
philosophy and values, to join our team and create something that was really
special .
We operate our treatment center with a common goal and common values, which I
would like to share with you.
Treatment should be accessible, this is incorporated into our philosophy from
the manner in which we respond to calls for help, our commitment to providing the very highest quality treatment at a reasonable cost, making treatment accessible to more people, to the way every one of our staff responds to our clients' needs. We are here to help, always, and at every level and we will never forget why we are here, which is to help people get well.
Treatment should be innovative. Through constant self-evaluation and adaptation, individuals discover what works for them in recovery. We believe a treatment center should do the same. Methods used thirty or even ten years ago may not be valid or effective any longer. We constantly strive to incorporate the most effective treatment strategies in our approach, and remain ahead of the curve in how we deliver treatment to our patients.
Treatment should include the entire family. We include family members in every stage of the treatment and recovery process, so that decisions are made as a team.
Treatment should be individualized. We treat every patient as an individual. Because we are small, we are able to provide a lot of attention to each of our clients. We assist them in every aspect of their lives, because they are a whole person, not just the disease, and the whole person needs to recover. We assist people in regaining every aspect of their lives, from fitness and nutrition, to financial responsibility, to personal pride and responsibility in their appearances, and the appearance of their homes.
Please trust that if you, or someone you love, needs our help, we will help you or them find hope, in A New Day.
Sincerely,
M. Slinskey
